Shawnee Smith is an American actress, singer and musician. Smith was born on the 3rd of July, 1970, and weighs 5'3". Smith's most famous roles are as Amanda Young and Linda on the CBS sitcom Becker. Smith was once a member of the band metal Fydolla Ho with which she performed in throughout the United States and the United Kingdom and is half of Smith & Pyle an American rock group that features the actress Missi Pyle. Shawnee Smith is the daughter of Jim Smith, a former US Air Force Pilot and financial planner who was also an oncology nurse. Smith was born in Orangeburg South Carolina. At the age of one old, the family moved between South Carolina and California to Van Nuys. The couple divorced at two years of age. She was then eight. She went to Ranchito Avenue Elementary School in Panorama City Los Angeles and Madison Jr. High in North Hollywood. She was a graduate of North Hollywood High School, North Hollywood California in 1987. She won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2019 for Outstanding Original Music & Lyrics along with her songwriting collaborators Jack Dolgen & the late Adam Schlesinger. Presently, Rachel will be on a spring-summer 2023 live show tour with her band Death Let Me Do My Special. Rachel has sold her way out of Radio City Music Hall for several shows during 2019, where she performed Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. In the same year she was also featured in her own solo tour What am I going to Do With My Life now? The tour included a week-long residency with Just For Laughs.
